SEVIERVILLE
A new educational garden is taking shape outside the county’s University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension building, built as part of the Master Gardeners program and featuring Firewise landscaping techniques.
“This is actually kind of two programs combined. The Master Gardeners that are in the training class right now helped design, pick out plants and build this garden, this bed,” said Adam Hopkins, UT Extension director and agent. “This will be a bed specifically demonstrating Firewise plantings, distances away from structures and what are good things to plant in such distances.”
