(Statewide, WY) – The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND), an academic unit of the University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences, has partnered with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help build consumer awareness about the emergency broadband benefit.
This new FCC program will temporarily provide assistance to help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible Wyoming families needing internet access for critical services such as telehealth, remote education and other virtual professional services may be able to benefit from this program.

The $3.2 billion Emergency Broadband Benefit Program provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for qualifying households on qualifying tribal lands.
