Ørsted and BP have submitted position statements to the UK Planning Inspectorate with regard to their offshore wind and carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) projects in the UK, with Ørsted saying BP is trying to force exclusion so that the offshore wind developer cannot locate its Hornsea Four turbines in an overlapping seabed area.

Japan's Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), one of the largest ocean shipping companies in the world, and Scotland's Flotation Energy plc. have agreed to jointly evaluate offshore wind development opportunities in Japan.
BP and EnBW, who won lease rights for two offshore wind sites in the UK Round 4 leasing at the beginning of this year, have deployed two metocean buoys and will soon deploy two floating LiDARs as part of a metocean and wind measurement campaign at the two sites.
