Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 20 (ANI): Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik on Thursday alleged that the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited did not heed the warnings on Cyclonic Tauktae and hence put the lives of 600 workers on the barge in danger.
The Navy rescued 188 workmen and recovered bodies of 37 people from Barge Papaa (P305) which sank in the Arabian Sea, 35 nautical miles from Mumbai under the impact of Cyclone Tauktae. Despite many alerts on Cyclone Tauktae, the ONGC neglected the alert, the lives of 600 workers were in danger. They were not shifted to a safer place. More than 40 people are still missing, hundreds of workers were fighting for their lives in a rough sea. Responsibility should be fixed, Malik said.

Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday wrote to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, requesting the allocation of 19 more Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen plants, in 15 districts of Odisha.
Requesting the Union Health Minister s personal intervention in the matter, Pradhan said that the PSA plants are required in addition to the 21 plants being set up in various districts throughout the state.

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 4 (ANI): The Union Petroleum Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday called West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee the mother of minority appeasement and alleged that she cares only about Muslim votes.
Pradhan, reacting to Banerjee s fascination with reciting the Chandi path followed by Kalma , acknowledging Sikh, Christians, and Buddhists in the same breath while accusing BJP of dividing Bengal into Hindus and Muslims, said it is Mamata who has disrupted the cultural equilibrium of Bengal.
