The University Grants Commission (UGC) has defended Delhi University s decision to admit students to its five-year law course solely based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-UG 2023) and not the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The UGC argued that different yardsticks may be required for admission to professional degree programs like law.
The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF), based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, has been announced by the Union Minister of Education. The framework includes conducting board exams twice a year and allowing students to retain their best score. Test developers and evaluators for board papers will need to complete university-certified courses.
