U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported Tuesday that 178,622 people attempted to illegally enter America s southern border in April, a two-decade high.
Officials said single adults comprised a majority of encounters. CBP continues to see a large influx of illegal migration along the Southwest Border, Acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller said in a statement.
CBP said April illegal crossing represented a 3% increase over the previous month, a sign the surge was slowing with the help of Mexican authorities.

OPINION:
Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand s tiresomely woke Prime Minister, often complains that one of the biggest challenges her country faces in promoting its interests overseas is that, owing to its remote geographical location, it sometimes finds itself left off maps of the world.
Monday on FNCs Fox & Friends, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) hit President Joe Biden over his failure to act on fixing the crisis at the United States border with Mexico.
Kennedy said that Biden just doesnt care about the surge of immigrants that are overwhelming the migrant facilities at the border. He warned of how dangerous and expensive the border crisis is for the United States.
Sometimes, when people act like they dont care, its not an act. I think President Biden just doesnt care, Kennedy outlined.
I think he plans on admitting between 2 and 3 million illegal immigrants into our country this year. We had hints of that in his campaign.
