PETALING JAYA, Feb 16 Malaysian philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng celebrated his birthday today with a deluge of well-wishes from social media users.
Kuan, better known as Uncle Kentang, received thousands of birthday comments on his Facebook profile where he often posts stories about his charity work.
He also shared a post thanking people for their kind thoughts on his special day.

KOTA BHARU – A single mother, whose four children have converted to Islam, has never let their religious beliefs come between them.
Koh Kim Keok, 48 from Kampung Lembah Sireh here, has seven children, four of whom have reverted and one of them is still living with her.

“I grew up living among the Malay people who are kind-hearted and that is why I do not view Islam as a strange religion. I make good friends with them so I have no problem accepting my children who have converted to Islam. In addition, my children have never shunned me and they treat me perfectly,” she told Bernama today.

What this story demonstrates without a shadow of a doubt is that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin s so-called second movement control order (MCO 2.0), which most people think is a total farce compared to the first MCO, is how his Covid-19 policies are having adverse effects, especially on the poor.
Equally, it makes Muhyiddin’s so-called emergency just as farcical, because it s not designed to tackle Covid-19 but to handle his detractors from within his coalition before they force him out from his stolen lofty height.

I don t think this is an isolated case. The government is announcing millions to help those in need affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Where does the money go?
Either it is not reaching those in need, or they just ignore those who cry for help. This family must have tried their best to get government assistance before they took this drastic step.
For the opposition, this is what you should harp on; not wear suits in Parliament and keeping shouting to bring the government down. How come your ground network didn t notice this family on the street?
