India’s dangerous games
December 20, 2020
Pakistan has, yet again, notified the world of dangerous Indian designs that threaten the already vulnerable regional security situation. The “credible information” of “India planning a surgical strike against Pakistan” prompted Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to arrange, on Friday, an urgent presser in Abu Dhabi where he was ending his two-day visit to the UAE during which he held meetings with the top Emirati leadership. Elaborating what he called a serious development , the foreign minister said India was already trying to seek tacit approval [for the strike] from important players who they consider to be their partners in to bid to “divert attention from its internal affairs” and as a “means to unify divisions within the country”.

MUZAFFARABAD: In yet another brazen act of ceasefire violation, Indian army on Friday morning “deliberately” fired upon a United Nations (UN) vehicle carrying two military observers on a routine monitoring mission along the restive Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), officials said.
Fortunately, they added, no member of the observers group was hurt but the white vehicle hoisting the blue UN flag was damaged in the ‘targeted’ attack.
The “reprehensible act” prompted strong condemnation by Pakistan, with Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri describing it as an indication of a “new low” in the conduct of Indian occupation troops.
