The annual State of the Air report assembled data on ozone and fine particulate pollution, two of the most dangerous forms of air contamination, from across the nation. In 149 pages the association compared pollution levels to federal air quality standards to come up with grades and rankings.
The group also listed the number of persons that could be affected by tainted, or clean, air in any city or county. The 2021 report covers the years 2017-2019.

The news about Sublette County, home to the Jonah and Pinedale Anticline natural-gas fields, was anticipated by some. It is the only rural county in the U.S. to receive the failing grade, the Sublette-based Citizens United for Responsible Energy Development said.

Beginning at midnight, the first runner for each team will take off under the nearly full moon, complete one lap, and hand off to a teammate. The 4 person teams will continue the exchange rotation, with one runner on the course at a time, until noon Saturday. The goal is to complete as many laps in 12-hours as possible! The 4-mile loop will take participants up 375′ to the top of Mount Airy for a spectacular view of the Wind River Mountains towering over the Pinedale valley and the expansiveness of the Mesa before winding down two-track and single-track trails back to base camp.
