PRAYAGRAJ: Come January 14, visitors to Magh Mela will have to pass through five walk-through thermal scanners set up at the entry points of the venue as part of precautionary measures against Covid-19.
The 57-day Magh Mela will commence from January 14.
Medical teams equipped with thermal scanners and pulse oximeters would be assigned duties at 11 other entry points of the venue.
Nodal officer and additional chief medical officer Dr Rishi Sahai said, “Visitors’ body temperature would be screened at 16 entry points of the venue including seven entry points in Parade area, four in Jhunsi and five in Arail area. Sixteen medical teams comprising two healthcare workers each would be deployed at other entry points for screening visitors with thermal scanners and pulse oximeters.”
