Daniel Donskoy appeared in season four of Netflix s The Crown as James Hewitt - Princess Diana s (played by Emma Corrin) riding instructor with whom she had secret romantic meetings. His character is based on the real-life James Hewitt, a 62-year-old Northern Irishman who was made a lieutenant for the British Army in 1980.
