UK Education Secretary Gillian Keagan has voiced her support for the increasing number of international students in the country amid Suella Braverman's plans to pose restrictions on them.
Though the rules can come into effect based on the discussions in Sunak-led No.10, stakeholders are already cautious and distancing themselves from any decision that has repercussions on international students in the UK.
Conservative MP Nusrat Ghani, who became the first Muslim woman to be a UK government minister when she was appointed to a post at the Department for Transport, has said that her faith was raised as a reason for her sacking in 2020, the BBC reported.
