The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has warned Indian citizens against sharing Aadhaar documents for updates via email or WhatsApp. Scammers have been tricking individuals into revealing sensitive Aadhaar information. To ensure the security of Aadhaar data, UIDAI advises using their official channels for updates, such as the UIDAI website or Aadhaar app. Aadhaar card holders are urged to be cautious and not share confidential details with anyone.
The chairperson and the members appointed under the Aadhaar Act hold office for a term of three years or up to the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
