Duson Town officials escorted Santa up and down the streets of Duson on Christmas Eve before Santa takes off on his busy night.
Santa met his police and fire department escort at 2:45 pm at the Duson Fire Station.
The caravan traveled through the Town with Santa riding on top of a Fire Engine. Helpers gathered letters for Santa from local residents. Today Santa Claus is preparing to head out and deliver his gifts over night but he decided to stop in Duson, said Police Chief Kip Judice. Make a ride through town. Let the kids see him wave. Wish them all good luck and let them know he will be on his way shortly.

unconstitutional. it doesn t represent the best way forward. i support the bill. every state and every citizen has the right to have its borders secure and live in the conditions of safety. i disagree with this law because i think in inevitably is going to, first, put a burden on law enforcement that i think is not necessary and i think is not appropriate. and it is going to lead to profiling. i have actually read this bill. it is not draconian. it is not going to lead to major civil rights violations. i think the law has potential unintended consequences. it s one of the reasons why i think immigration needs to be a federal issue. not a state one. governor brewer and her legislature, they did the right thing. 70% of arizonaens who support this law are doing the right thing in sending this wakeup call to the feds. on: joining uson joining us now from washington, fox news
