Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 14), the UAE temple is among 1,200 such temples built and managed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
Ahead of the grand opening of the temple on a 27-acre piece of land in Abu Mureikhah district, Swami Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of BAPS, has arrived in the UAE.
The artisans from villages in Rajasthan's Makrana embarked on a creative journey in 2019 to bring the vision of the grand temple to life with their intricate sculpting, which continued even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The temple was inaugurated on September 1 and will be open to public from Dussehra, October 5. The temple website states that it is open to public from 6 am till 8.30 pm
