Tonight, hes telling the story of how firefighters pulled him out. Good evening, im jacqueline london. Nbc 10 brought you the rescue live as it unfolded in south jersey. Tonight, the farmer is telling us what it was like in that grain bin with 600,000 pounds of soybeans up to his waist. Nbc 10s aundrea klein thomas has the latest. Reporter chris is resting easy tonight after spending hours in this bin getting rescued. The 72yearold lifelong farmer says this is the most serious accident hes ever had. Chris was doing well and is back on solid ground. I wasnt in any trouble but i wasnt getting down either. It was like he was stuck in the quicksand. Reporter skyforce 10 apertured First Responders working to rescue the farmer from his grain bin. He was in the bin trying to fix a jam so he could continue loading his soybeans when he started to sink. When firefighters arrived, an estimated 600,000 pounds of soybeans were packed up to his chest. A worker on location hit a stop button, kept it

It is still a Tropical Storm, but its close to hurricane strength. It is obviously looking better organized and is likely to become a hurricane. The track, a little farther east than yesterday, but its also more likely to stall out in the ocean, not too far off the jersey shore, monday through wednesday, which could cause some additional problems next week. The local impacts, a little bit eastward track, less rain north and west, but the rain and wind also looks like it might linger at the shore through labor day, itself. Hes the latest.
