LITTLETON The 2021 Littleton High School softball season got into full swing this past weekend, with a home opener May 8 against rival Tyngsborough High School.
The game was a pitchers duel, with Tiger junior pitcher Kasey Ricard leading the way pitching shutout softball with 16 strikeouts and one walk.
Ricard gave up one hit late in the game with a single in the top of the seventh inning, but the Tigers kept Tyngsborough off the board with a catch by Alana DiLollis in deep center field.
The Tigers were also stymied by Tyngsboorugh pitching who struck out 15 and allowed only two hits.
