Hajj 2021: Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah provided 3,000 especially designed Electric Carts to help pilgrims perform Tawaf al Wada - farewell circumambulation around Holy Kaaba in anti-clock direction.
Pilgrims perform Tawaf al Wada - the last rite of Haj, before they leave for their homes after a stay in Mina during Ayyam e Tashreeq. The days of Tashreeq are 11th, 12th and 13th days of Dhul Hijjah.

MAKKAH Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, president of the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, announced the success of the Presidency s plan for the Ramadan season, which affirmed, through 10 major elements, implementing the precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the pilgrims and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
The president affirmed that the presidency, in cooperation with the security institutions within the Two Holy Mosques, has implemented the precautionary measures to preserve the safety of the Two Holy Mosques visitors, which made the Ramadan season for this year 1442AH a successful season despite the exceptional circumstances.

In a historic development, Saudi Arabia government has released several high-resolution pictures of an ancient religious stone ‘al-Hajar al-Aswad’, or the ‘Black Stone’ in Mecca.
These pictures of holy ‘Black Stone’ are up to 49,000 megapixels in size and according to General Presidency for the Affairs of the Saudi Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque it took more than 50 hours to photograph and develop these photos.
The technique of focus stacking was used to click 1,050 photos of the holy stone. The CNN report said that the General Presidency worked with the Two Holy Mosques’ engineering agency while the holy stone was photographed for seven hours.
