The Court warned that apart from other action that may be taken against doctors who conduct the test on rape survivors, they shall also be liable for being prosecuted under the Contempt of Courts Act.

The Supreme Court said that anybody who conducts the two-finger test on rape survivors would be guilty of misconduct. The court also said that the so-called test has no scientific basis and it re-victimises the women.
