The Centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre happens in May and the community is coming together to remember the past while celebrating a season of growth.
The Tulsa Rotary Club Foundation is gifting two benches to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission as a part of the Bench by the Road Project which commemorates significant moments, people, and locations within the history of the African Diaspora.
A dedication ceremony will be held inside the Historic Vernon AME Church at 10:30 followed by an unveiling of the benches placed outside the Mabel B. Little House at the corner of Greenwood and Archer.
