PORTSMOUTH A developer is seeking variances needed to build four two-family structures on land behind an existing 1892 home on Middle Street.
Attorney R. Timothy Phoenix filed the application for the variances on behalf of the applicant, the Tuck Realty Corp., seeking the variances, according to documents filed with the city.
The property is currently owned by The Elizabeth Larson Trust of 2012 and is assessed at $2.2 million, according to city records.
In addition to the 1892 home at the front of the property, there is also a 1900 carriage house behind it, according to city records.
New housing would access Chevrolet Avenue
Tuck Realty is seeking to subdivide the property lot, which is about 81,000 square feet, and “is significantly larger than most others in the nearby area,” Phoenix said.
