Hanover Township Mental Health Board awards funding at April meeting

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $18,900 in funding during their meeting on April 27.
Ecker Center for Behavioral Health was awarded $12,500 in challenge funding to assist in the creation of their new crisis stabilization unit that will launch later this year. The unit is intended to assist residents in need of mental health services that do not rise to the level of hospitalization.
The board also awarded $6,400 in challenge funding to Partners for Our Communities to provide additional case management at the township s Astor Avenue Community Center in Hanover Park. Based in Palatine, the agency provides case management services for immigrants seeking legal, medical and mental health services, and more.
