“We’re coming into a pot of gold,” Algansee Township Supervisor Russ Jennings said to his board Monday.
Treasurer Sarah Strong said it is $193,033 from the recently passed COVID-19 Relief Act. That’s $99 per person, based on the 2019 census estimate.
Even though the township “hasn’t seen the money yet,” Jennings suggest they talk about how to spend it.
“I’ll give you my thoughts. Mainly I’d like to see it spent for roads, she said.
Former Trustee John Shilling had suggested asphalt in the cemeteries.
“I’d like to see some in this parking lot,” Jennings said of the township hall on South Ray-Quincy Road.
