As many as 99 per cent of new products launched by Colgate-Palmolive in 2020 offered âimproved sustainability profilesâ such as reduced packaging and/or plastics use, the companyâs latest annual sustainability report has revealed.
Colgate-Palmolive claimed to be making âmeasurable progressâ towards its sustainability goals, including eliminating one-third of new plastics by 2025.
The Colgate Keep toothbrush, meanwhile, has helped to reduce plastics waste by 80 per cent, and the flagship Palmolive Ultra dish soap brand has been relaunched in 100 per cent post-consumer recycled plastics bottles.
As well as using more recycled plastics, the company is to work towards a one-third reduction in its use of new plastics by switching to alternate materials and creating package and product designs that use less plastics.
