The Lincoln Blue Tigers won a total of nine events at the MIAA outdoor track and field championships, a three-day event that concluded Sunday at Emporia State. The men finished third out of 10 teams with 96 points, while the women also placed third out of 12 teams with 93 points in the final standings. The Lincoln women won five conference titles and the men won four.

PITTSBURG, Kan. The Lincoln women’s 4x400-meter relay team claimed the national title Saturday in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The team of Shevanae Thomas, Chrissani May, Maria Diamond and Kelly-Ann Beckford won the event in 3:42.03.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers qualified 14 athletes for the NCAA Division II indoor track and field national championships, which will be held March 11-12 at Pittsburg State. The national qualifiers were announced Tuesday night.
