But first, the hunt for a suspected serial bomber tonight, striking fear yet again in austin. This time, Authorities Say with a trip wire bomb, the fourth bomb to go off. The first bomb, in a package left at a home. The following week, two more packages on the same day, both exploding. And this newest bomb with that trip wire on a Darkened Street overnight. The neighborhood on lockdown for most of this day. And tonight, the audio of this newest bomb going off just out. Abcs marcus moore leading us off from austin tonight. want to piece together who did this, it makes it more difficult. it s not too daunting. they will get to the bottom of this. what this tells me is that this bomber is showing us the full portfolio. he started out with packages that were addressed to particular people in austin. and he dropped them off on their porch. they weren t shipped. now he knew people would be aware of this and looking at video cameras to see who is coming up to a porch and dropping a package off. he moves into the next realm a trip wire, a switch device that is a targeted opportunity. it s not addressed to a specific person and it creates fear and terror. if this is related to this same bomber and i think there s some suspicion that it is, he has now shown a different methodology, shipping something to a fedex facility. so the first time we heard this was just before that trip wire bomb was tripped, was triggered on sunday night. authorities saying, hey, talk to us. we want to hear from you. we want to know wh
fbi agents on scene the sophisticated trip wire is a significant change in the bomber s techniques. they are hoping that the bomber makes contact with them so they can, in their words, understand his message. meantime the austin police department is asking people to not let their guard down warning if you come across anything that looks suspicious, do not touch, handle, or disturb it. keep a safe distance and call 911 immediately. and, again, we re up to now five bombings, according to the feds. there s no apparent motive and they don t seem that much closer to getting it. of course, they are probably keeping some things from us. but, at this point, we just don t know why this keeps happening. brian: if they don t have enough guys, they have got 500 officers, already done 236 interviews and that number is growing. it continues to grow. and that was before what just happened a few hours ago there in schertz. steve: todd piro thank you
