UP IT Raid: Piyush Jain, who is being raided for tax evasion, was arrested yesterday and officials have, so far, recovered Rs 284 crore in cash and large quantities of gold and silver, sources told NDTV on Monday.
"We got the information that Trimurti Fragrances was working without an invoice or tax payment. We searched their three entities and recovered approximately Rs 150 crore cash. This is the biggest recovery ever in the history of CBIC," Vivek Johri, Chairman of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs said.
