This year's field of teams includes: Apex, Cardinal Gibbons, Heritage, Hillside, Millbrook, New Bern, Southern Durham, and Wake Forest. All eight teams made the N.C. High School Athletic Association state playoffs in 2022, including the 4A state champion and the 4A regional runner-up.
The Jordan-Matthews Jets hosted the Cummings Cavaliers, Orange Panthers, Cedar Ridge Red Wolves, Asheboro Blue Comets and Southern Lee Cavaliers at the Don Beane Jamboree on Wednesday.
