The uc health alert says the student in question attended classes last week and may have spread the highly contagious disease in his classes and likely on mass transit too. We get the latest from Jana Katsuyama who is on the uc campus. Reporter this morning the news was posted on the uc website and it went out on mass transit. But i talked to students tonight and none of them said they received any word from the university. On monday, the University Health Services Website posted this warning. It says a student who attended classes last week was diagnosed with the infection. And all uc berkeley students, faculty and staff who were on campus should assess their risk of measles.
