A total of seven people were treated, either taken to the hospital or treated here at the scene. Most of them took in a lot of smoke. There was one man who had burns to his back and is being treated at the hospital. Let me show you where the fire started. It started here in this home on the lefthand side and it then quickly spread to the home on the right and the home on the other side and then to a fourth home thats actually across the street. Thats how big this fire was. Some of those embers just drifted across the street here and this was just an incredible scene on this block. Let me get ut to the video get you to the video. Bay. More triple digit temperatures today, and it it is safe to say that the bay area is feeling the heat. The firefighters had to not only battle the heat today as well as a brush fire. Jana katsuyama is live on the scene. Fire crews had difficulty getting water when they arrived and found there were no fire hydrants nearby. Reporter that was a big problem, heather. Were right here at the scene. You can see how close the fire came to the mobile home park. Thats at the back of the park. They had to bring in special trucks to haul it all the way. You can see how high and how close it got. Right now, if you take a look over here, you can see they have fire crews here still with hoses, putting out the hot spots. In fact, less than half of all of the district classrooms have air conditioning. They have it at the middle school where i have a child. Why do they not have it at the high school .
