PARKERSBURG The American Red Cross is making a plea for blood donations and particularly Type O blood during Trauma Awareness Month in May to keep hospitals
The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting the Fourth Annual Dragon Boat Festival at Castaic Lake, Saturday, June 10, with gates opening at 6:30 a.m.
May is <b>Trauma Awareness Month</b>, and the <b>American Red Cross</b> is asking the public to give blood or platelets to keep hospitals prepared for all transfusion needs, including emergencies.<br/><br/>When every second counts, blood products can provide lifesaving care. <b>Type O negative blood donors are especially needed right now. </b>Type O negative is the universal blood type and what emergency room personnel reach for in time-critical situations.<br/><br/>All donors between May 1-19 will receive a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice.
