The board will also take a look at possible rate hikes and consider a ban on watering your lawn more than twice a week. As for the rate hikes, the board will have a public hearing in june. Fremont residents will be seeing an 8 water rate hike. The alameda Water District approved the increase last night. The lack of water isnt the only concern in fremont though. Its an aging infrastructure that needs repair. The district says it must charge its customers more to pay for those repairs.
