The man they charged in the fatal hitandrun accident identified as royce atkins. And they say that atkins confessed with an interview with detectives this morning. And atkins admitted to striking boy and leaving the scene. And the boy is identified as darious condash. And he and a frent crossed a road after buying candy at a Convenience Store. He dropped some candy and turned to pick it up. When he did, he was struck by a northbound vehicle. And a driver reported it after he was suspicious after seeing damage to
They believe a woman drove away from the murder scene last night in that car. They say she is in her 20s. She believe they does have a relationship with the boy. They do not know if it was friend or romantic. They not sure the nature of the relationship but they knew each other and they got in an argument before the 16yearold boy was shot and killed. Police found out about the shooting through the shotspotter system that detected gunfire at 10 30 last night and they went to fleming avenue and found the boys body in the street. People heard the shots in the area so a lot people came out of their homes and some people did cooperate and gave police helpful information. They are grateful for that and hope more people will come forward and help solve this case. They want to find this woman and find out what she knows.
