The study was released yesterday ahead of the United Nations global conference on Climate Change which takes place later this month. Lets turn to dave murphy to talk about water around here all day today. We have rain. We havent had a whole lot of it over the last couple months so i guess its good. Weve got storm tracker6 live double scan showing you fairly wet conditions across the majority of the region. If we go in closer you can see a heavy batch of rain highlighted in yellow and even a bit of orange is pushing through berlin and glassboro and right along the upper portions of route 55 and the a. C. Expressway so this would be one area where you want to slow it down but theres a lot of spray and active rain coming up on your windshield right through Philadelphia Media and back in through malvern as well. Ill start this up for you briefly and you can see how the vein pushing up from the south and scooting basically parallel to the a. C. Expressway there or i should say to the jersey turnpike. Theres also another batch of rain coming in down to the south into cape may county. So this is another area that may have a little extra water on the roadways as we go through the next half hour or so. Northern and western suburbs also wet every now and then theres a break. I do think that the morning commute is going to be the center of the action and then well get into a bit of a round before another round comes in later. As we take a look outside we have cloudy skies. Camera bouncing a bit down in ac because the winds are up today. Little bit on the breezy side and certainly on the damp side. 54 is your current temperature in philadelphia. Your winds out of the northeast at 9 miles per hour. And it does feel pretty damp out there. Future tracker six picking up with that idea that during the morning rush weve got the first batch of rain that does start to die down toward the second half of the rush and then we get into the 9 oclock period and we may see a little bit of a lull. That continues through midday and then by 3 oclock, another round of rain is beginning to build in. Not that its totally dry in between these two main patches of rain but not quite as intense or widespread. And then by 6 oclock, and really through the evening commute, that second batch is coming in affecting mainly the northern and western half of the region. Philadelphia still probably damp. Down the shore damp but not quite as bad. Then by 11 00, 11 30 tonight the bulk of this should be pushing away with only maybe some drizzle left over early wednesday morning. And what are we expecting . Were still going with that idea of a half inch to an inch of rain. The models still some somewhat of a disagreement. The rpm i think is a little bit high but not a drowning rain but certainly a significant rain and enough to show you down for your two commutes. 57 degrees by eight clock, 60 by 11 00, 62 by 3 oclock. Your high today is going to be 63 by about 3 00 or 3 30 this afternoon. High temperatures across the region. 58 in allentown, upper 50s in reading and mid 60s down in the heart of south jersey with low 60s down the shore today. And were still watching Tropical Storm kate. Kate is now pushing away from the bahamas and in the future it looks like this storm will be pushing well away from the east coast of the united states, maybe a little heavy surf down the shore and it looks like it misses bermuda as well its a Tropical Storm. It could be a hurricane eventually but by the that im happens it will be north of bermuda and not an issue for anybody. Cloudy and rainy today, 63 degrees is your forecast high. And the rain off and on through the day and into tonight. Tomorrow in the morning there could be a bit of drizzle early on wednesday, of course well have that for you if its happening. Otherwise, though, partly sunny on wednesday and a high of 65. Nice for veterans day ceremonies. And then cloudy and a bit damp again on thursday with a couple of periods of rain possible, 63 degrees. Another front coming through. Behind that we dry out for the next several days and we cool down a bit. Sunny and breezy on friday a nice day, 60. For saturday, were back into the 50s. High of 56 there. And then 58 and pleasant on sunday for the eagles, a fair amount of sunshine and back to the low 60s by monday. A little above average and still pretty bright. Okay. Thank you david. Like it.
