After a heated three and a half hour meeting Wednesday night with all seven covered municipalities, WLFD will increase its budget by nearly $4 million.
Voters in five of seven communities voted against a referendum Tuesday that called for nearly doubling the annual budget for the Western Lakes Fire District.
