Williamsburg Select Board taps Pittsfield councilor for admin post Nicholas Caccamo CONTRIBUTED PHOTO Published: 4/28/2021 9:03:52 PM WILLIAMSBURG – The Select Board has voted to offer the town administrator’s job to Nicholas Caccamo, a Pittsfield city councilor who is completing a degree in public policy and planning. While Caccamo doesn’t have town administrator experience, Select Board Chairman William Sayre expressed faith in his ability to learn the job. “I think he’ll be able to learn the culture, gain the experience,” said Sayre. “I’m banking on that he’ll be able to learn those ropes pretty quickly.” The unanimous vote took place at the Select Board’s Wednesday morning meeting. During discussion, Select Board Member Denise Banister expressed an initial preference for Town Clerk Brenda Lessard, although she said Caccamo was her second choice. However, Banister ended up voting with the majority.
