Woolwich selectmen declared a certified ratio of 65% to Maine Revenue Services, which in the coming year will mean lower state reimbursements for things like the homestead exemption, tree growth and veteran benefits. The actual certified ratio came.
Three years after voters approved the purchase of a two-acre wooded lot on George Wright Road, the Woolwich selectboard is seeking a buyer for the property. Before selectmen can sell the lot, they will need voter approval at a special town meeting.
Woolwich Road Commissioner Jack Shaw is asking Route One motorists to be patient as work commences on a water main project near the Route 127 intersection. Shaw told the selectboard Aug. 16, he recently spoke to the contractor, Bath Water District.

Woolwich’s annual town meeting was tentatively set Jan. 18 for 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. Before finalizing the date, the select board needs to confirm Woolwich Central School’s gymnasium is available. The board will begin work on the 2023-24.
