Birla Carbon again recognized for sustainability efforts Rubber & Plastics News Staff Print MARIETTA, Ga. Birla Carbon, the world s largest producer of carbon black, again is being recognized for its sustainability by EcoVadis. This is the fifth consecutive year that Birla Carbon has been awarded a gold level rating by the independent sustainability rating agency. The gold rating was provided after a review of Birla Carbon s sustainability practices discussed in its eighth sustainability report titled Bending Towards Circularity, the company said. At Birla Carbon, sustainability is more than a commitment it is central to who we are and how we operate, said Joe Gaynor, chief legal, sustainability and risk officer.
