Reporter at this point commissioner ross thinks this might have been a case of something called contagious fire. In a high stress situation one officer fired first others reacted. Other officers hear gunfire and they believe they are now under fire and that they return fire in this case firing multiple times as i said 109 rounds that weve counted thus far. Wound. Wyllie told police that he had recently purchased a smith and wesson 45 caliber hand gun this little benjamin he grabbed it and ultimately caused to kill himself. Reporter according to Court Documents Family Members and boys mother who does not live at the location had warned wyllie about leaving weapons out, adding that the twoyear old loved guns and had practiced using them with toy versions. A Family Member told police that a lot of those toy guns looked real. Is there anything you want to say. Reporter wyllie has been charged with with involuntary manslaughter, Reckless Endangerment and endangering the welfare of the child. The defendant will be serving a life sentence, regardless of what happens to him criminally, and that is the terrible tragedy here.
