KUALA LUMPUR: Plans to implement Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for toll payments on the main stretch of the North-South Expressway from Juru in Penang and Skudai in Johor from Jan 15 have drawn mixed views from various quarters.

PETALING JAYA: For as low as RM10, Malaysians can gain access to low risk money market investments with GO+, a new product from the Touch ‘n Go (TNG) Group.
The feature is available to TNG eWallet users, allowing them to earn returns on their GO+ balance which will be credited daily.
“GO+ will also carry a ‘cash-out’ feature that will allow movement of funds seamlessly between the user’s eWallet and designated bank account, ” said the group’s chief executive officer Effendy Shahul Hamid in a statement to launch the product.

GOMBAK: Three men were detained in connection with a spate of vehicle thefts in Rawang.
Seven stolen vehicles were also seized during the operation held from Saturday (Jan 2) until Tuesday (Jan 5).
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said police arrested a man in Rawang town at about 2am on Saturday in connection with a missing Honda Civic, which was reported stolen in Bandar Tasik Puteri Rawang in October last year. We seized four Touch N Go cards from the suspects. Further investigation led police to monitor a man, who was dismantling a Honda Civic near the Rawang Perdana flats at about 5.30pm on Sunday.
