The new EV is the first of 11 electrified vehicles that Kia is bringing out by 2026.
Kia has unveiled its newest all-electric vehicle, the EV6 crossover SUV. The EV6 is designed to be the first of 11 new electrified models that Kia will launch worldwide by 2026.
The EV6 is built on a new dedicated chassis platform designed for electric power. The E-GMP modular platform will allow Kia to produce multiple vehicle designs including sedans, crossovers, and SUVs in a short time and with minimal complexity. The architecture provides an adaptable foundation with a long wheelbase and wide stance.
Kia announced that they will offer 1,500 EV6 First Edition models, which will be available by advanced reservation at Kia.com starting June 3, 2021. The EV6 First Edition is a fully optioned package with an Augmented Reality (AR) Head-Up Display, Remote Smart Parking Assist, sunroof, 20-inch wheels, premium 14-speaker Meridian audio system and a two-year subscription to Siriu
Bear Drive hearing Wednesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. at the Madras Performing Arts Center
Jefferson County Commissioners will host a hearing Wednesday, April 28 to discuss solutions to the dangerous intersection of Bear Drive at Highway 97.
The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. at the Madras Performing Arts Center, 412 SE Buff St.
After 15 accidents involving five fatalities in the past four years, the Oregon Department of Transportation recommends closing Bear Drive and Eureka Lane at Highway 97.
ODOT will have representatives at the hearing to explain alternatives.
