Remains high today for millions, following a day of heavy hail, tornadoes and flooding. Several areas have the potential for dangerous conditions today, including the plains, the tennessee valley, parts of texas and most of the c east coast. U the fierce weather system already left its mark in colorado. Tornadoes and large hail pounded the denver area, damaging cars and even airplanes at the airport. W5k abcs Tahman Bradley has the latest. Reporter a powerful storm socked the denver area. It spawned tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and giant golf ballsized hail. The sound, menacing. People ran for cover. M y cars slid, more than an inch of hail fell in some areas. So, it had to be shoveled or even plowed. Extreme weather shut down Denver International airport. Frontier Airlines Says some of its planes were damaged. Snowplows cleared the runways. Tense moments in and around the city, after these ominous clouds formed and tornado warnings were issued. Police say he had no obvious connection to the school in decatur. The school was evacuated and no one was injured. The gunman told one School Employee he was sorry for what he was doing and was willing to die. Tarika duncan has our report.
