WATERSOUND, Fla. – Junior Frederik Kjettrup of the 11th-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf team earned an emphatic win at the Watersound Invitational, shooting a record-low 18-under par (66-67-65) for his second career collegiate victory on Tuesday afternoon at Shark’s Tooth Golf Club.
Kjettrup’s 18-under is the lowest three-round score in program history. He eclipsed a 56-year old record held by Seminole Alum Carl DiCesare, who had a 17-under at the Buckhaults Golf Tournament on March 17, 1967. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Florida State Golf (@fsugolf)
With top-ranked Gordon Sargent of Vanderbilt trying to charge up the leaderboard, Kjettrup’s final-round 65 proved he wouldn’t be denied. The Denmark native won at Watersound by five strokes, carding nine birdies in his final round to put an exclamation point on a huge weekend for the All-American.

WATERSOUND, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Sophomore Frederik Kjettrup of Florida State Men’s Golf finished a strong showing at the Watersound Invitational on Tuesday, shooting 5-under overall to place third at the competitive tournament held at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course.
It is Kjettrup’s second Top 3 finish in his last three tournaments played, as he tied for second at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate held Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
Kjettrup, who has emerged as a Top 100 golfer according to Golfstat at No. 82, shot even par in his final round. He added three birdies on Tuesday, and used a 35 on his first nine holes on the back nine combined with a 37 that he added on the front. Throughout the tournament, Kjettrup capitalized on Shark Tooth’s par 4 holes, finishing sixth among all participants at 2-under in par 4 scoring. He finished with 12 birdies over his three rounds of golf.

Luke Long fired a 2-under-par 70 and moved up four spots into a tie for 10th after 36 holes at the Watersound Invitational, played at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course.
Arkansas played the final three holes at 6-under par and finished seventh with a 54-hole score of 867 at the Watersound Invitational, played at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course.
