Minster man sentenced to 8 years in prison By Kyle Shaner - kshaner@sidneydailynews.com SIDNEY – A Minster man, who pleaded guilty to eight counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, was sentenced to eight years in prison in Shelby County Common Pleas Court. Judge James F. Stevenson sentenced Kenneth D. Marker, 25, of Minster, to 12 months in prison on each charge, all of which are fourth degree felonies. Marker will serve the terms consecutively, meaning one after another, for a total of 96 months in prison. As part of a plea deal, 11 other charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, each a fourth degree felony, were dismissed.

Man indicted on burglary, kidnapping charges By Kyle Shaner - kshaner@sidneydailynews.com SIDNEY – A Piqua man was indicted on a charge of aggravated burglary and two charges of kidnapping, each of which are first degree felonies, by the Shelby County grand jury Thursday. Zaqon Marteece Zion Clemons, 22, of Piqua, along with others, is accused of forcing entry into an occupied home on South Street in Sidney and inflicting physical harm on the victims. He also reportedly restrained a man and a woman during the burglary on Dec. 1, 2020. Other indictments included: • Travis R. Morley, 27, who is in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on charges of failure to comply with an order or signal of an officer, a third degree felony, receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony.
