The appeal is forthcoming.
Joe’s Station House Pizza Pub, 305 N. Veterans Parkway, was issued three fines for defying a state indoor dining ban, which Normal said violated town liquor code.
The three fines plus $2420 in court-related fees totals out to $4,170.
Tom DeVore, the attorney representing pub owners Joe and Tony Wargo, said they intend to appeal the decision to the state Liquor Control Commission.
The business was issued the fines for disobeying a state rule banning indoor dining, which the Town of Normal said violated its liquor code.
DeVore has argued that the business did not violate the town’s liquor code and that Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s executive orders are not state law.
