The COVID-19 pandemic has put many people from the Black community at increased risk of infection, hospitalization and death. To address questions, hesitancy and myths, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City has launched the S.A.F.E series. It’s five factual, educational interviews with community leaders showing how the COVID-19 vaccine is not only Safe, but also Simple, Accessible, Free and Easy. The series kicks off today, airing on The Blue KC Channel on YouTube. I host part one and part three with Dr. Toni Zink and epidemiologist Keanon Swan from Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center.
