The Bowling family and several local representatives who had a hand in making the park a reality gathered in along Weld County Road 1 and Nebraska Avenue on Wednesday for the groundbreaking of the park after years of fundraising and grassroots work.
Forty-three first graders at Northridge Elementary in Longmont are in for a big surprise Friday. They will receive a free bicycle courtesy of Can'd Aid, The Braly Family Foundation and dozens of Longmont residents who spent Thursday evening putting them all together.
