The Bowling family and several local representatives who had a hand in making the park a reality gathered in along Weld County Road 1 and Nebraska Avenue on Wednesday for the groundbreaking of the park after years of fundraising and grassroots work.

The board, during their Tuesday night hearing, voted unanimously to use a cap of $650,000 of uncommitted park development and improvements funds for Can'd Aid's Berthoud Adaptive Park Project.
