Also on day 2 of the Continental Cup in Brotterode (GER), the victory went to a ski jumper of Poland. After Stefan Hula was the best on Saturday evening, his teammate Tomasz Pilch had a reason to celebrate on Sunday.
The 20-year-old laid the foundation for this success with a jump of 115 m in the first round, 111 m in the final and 272.2 points were then enough for Tomasz Pilch to secure his third win in the Continental Cup. The last time the jumper from Wisla won was in December 2017 in Ruka (FIN).
After his third place yesterday, Junshiro Kobayashi could show yet another strong performance today. The Japanese was able to improve his result by one place and came in second with 111.5 m and 109.5 m and 268.8 points.

With three competitions in Ruka, in the far north of Finland, the Continental Cup starts its 2020/21 season this weekend. The first win this winter on Friday evening went to Austria s Stefan Rainer.

The best result of the Austrian so far was the fifth place in Wisla in September. The hill is very cool, I love it here. It s my first victory in COC, I m speechless. Tomorrow s conditions seem pretty good. I will do my best to achieve a good result tomorrow , said the Austrian.
