A west London charity which supported Grenfell victims has been and remains institutionally racist, a review has found. The Westway Trust has a legacy of institutional racism and has failed to understand, identify and address racial disparity over the years, a report by the Tutu Foundation concluded.  The organisation commissioned the review in July 2018, acknowledging that serious allegations of institutional racism had been made over several decades. The trust was accused of treating the African Caribbean community with indifference and subjecting it to marginalisation over the decades since its inception. The report recommended that the trust make reparations including a public apology, compensation to the impacted communities and the creation of a Centre for Civil Rights and Culture.
